To do the broken link-building method, you must find broken links on a site that is relevant to your niche. You then contact the webmaster with the broken link and recommend your site as an alternative to the broken link. You should see improvements in website traffic, a key indicator of progress for your keywords. Links aren't everything in SEO, but search professionals attribute a large portion of the engines' algorithms to link-related factors. Whenever possible, avoid changing URL structures. The easiest way to prevent broken redirects is to avoid creating the redirects in the first place.

Analyze your current website

How you’ve worked in the past won’t be how you work in the future. That’s because the SEO practices that have long been the norm are now being seen in a very different light. From the threat of Google de-indexing sites to legislation breaches leading to criminal charges, the search practices of brands, agencies and bloggers are in the spotlight. The increasing dominance of visual content online has brought with it new opportunities for increasing a site’s search traffic by optimizing videos and images. Much of the time, it makes sense for the search engines to deliver results from older sources that have stood the test of time. However, sometimes the response should be from newer sources of information. Google has no problem telling you what you need to do to compete for their top ranking spots, just read their guide and do your best to follow through with their recommendations.

Intrigue your audience to stick around

Optimization is the key to ensuring that search engines rank your website favorably in their results. But in order for optimization to work, the content on your site needs to be awesome! To prevent users from linking to one version of a URL and others linking to a different version (this could split the reputation of that content between the URLs), focus on using and referring to one URL in the structure and internal linking of your pages. If you do find that people are accessing the same content through multiple URLs, setting up a 301 redirect from non-preferred URLs to the dominant URL is a good solution for this.
